NIKOS DASKALANTONAKIS IS HONOURED BY THE RUSSIAN EMBASSY

Mr. Nikos Daskalandonakis received an honorary papyrus for his contribution to the proper conduct of the election process for the election of the President of the Russian Federation in the elections that took place in 2018 as the Honorary consul of the Russian Federation in Crete and the Dodecanese.

At the ceremony held at the Russian Embassy to celebrate the “Russian Federation Diplomacy Day”, Ambassador Andrei Maslov honored Nikos Daskalandonakis “on behalf of his country's electoral committee for the presidential election,” as he mentioned .

We have to underline that through this electoral process, Russian citizens living permanently in Crete and the Dodecanese have exercised their electoral rights by participating in the presidential elections of their country. Also, in the margin of voting, Russian citizens were able to settle procedural issues of consular nature.

We should also underline that Mr. Nikos Daskalantonakis is an honorary consul of Russia in Crete and the Dodecanese in the name of his contribution to the development of relations between the two countries since 1998. Consulates operate in Rethymnon with extended powers, but also in Rhodes and Kos.
