The Association of the Rethymnians of Attica “Arcadi”, was celebrated last Saturday in a vibratnt atmosphere, as every year, in the luxury Hotel “Grande Bretagne” in the center of the Hellenic capital.
In this year’s event the honored guests were the President of the Folklore Museum of Rethymno, Mrs Fali Voyiatzaki, and the former Mayor of Rethymnon, Mr. Dimitris Archontakis, whom both have contributed vastly in the Renaissance and the cultural revival of the city of Rethymno.
The President of the Association of Rethymnians of Attica, Mr. George Vlatakis, and his council, invited hundreds of Rethynians, among which prominent personalities of the political, economic, cultural, intellectual and judicial world.
Mr. Nikos Daskalantonakis, President and Founder of Grecotel, honored the event with his presence, showing his love for his homeland, Crete and Rethymno. The President Mr. Vlatakis showed his respect and admiration at the significant work and offer made by Mr. Nikos Daskalantonakis not only to his homeland, Rethymno, but to whole Greece.
