The “Tour of Crete with roller skates – Love, Hope, Life” has been realized with great success, from September 6 to September 9, from the Racing Department of the Club of Classic Sports of Preveli, Rethymno. The event was organized in the framework of the development of Sports Tourism, the promotion of the Olympic sport of Skating and the Promotion of Crete.  The Region of Crete, the Municipalities of Chania, Rethymno, Heraklion, Agios Nikolaos, the Regional Unity of Rethymno, the International governing body for skateboarding and roller sports, World Skate and finally the ORAMA ELPIDAS (Vision of Hope) have all collaborated for the information, awareness and the registration of new volunteer donors of hematopoietic cells.

The 18 months of hard training were rewarded, with the athletes of the Preveli Club traveling for one day in every prefecture of Crete. The morning tours of the island's old National Road (Kastelli-Chania 40km, Chania-Rethymno 60km, Rethymnon-Heraklion 80km, Heraklion-Ag.Nikolaos 71km) were accompanied each evening with a beautiful event at the central points of the prefectures, where information was also handed out regarding the work of the bone marrow donors.
